Whenever I have lunch at Caraway Grill East, I’m incredibly impressed with everything – the look & feel of the restaurant, the service and – ultimately – the food.
Caraway Grill “Express Lunch” (Tues-Fri 11:30am to 2:30pm) offers 2 options, both with exceptional value for the price:
Chicken: includes One Starter, one meat main dish, one vegetarian main dish, Basmati rice and plain or buttered naan, for $14.99.
Vegetarian: One Starter, two vegetarian main dishes, Basmati rice and plain or buttered naan for $13.99.
On my visits, I order the Caraway Grill Chicken Express Lunch with Tandoori Chicken to start.
The 2 drumsticks are delicious. Piping hot and just the right amount of spicy heat on the palate.
The smoky aroma is intoxicating and seemed to offer a bit of sweetness on the back palate – a delightful start to the meal.
The mains are a set menu determined for that day by Caraway Grill.
On my 2nd lunch within 2 weeks, I enjoyed the Kadhai Chicken – a perfect combination of chicken & creamy gravy consisting of spices & tomato. The vegetarian dish was Aloo Matar, which is a potato & pea curry.
Caraway Grill East does everything right. The restaurant has a comforting vibe and the service is exceptional. I particularly liked how the server “introduced” each dish with respect & reverence: “Excuse me, ma’am, this is the Kadhai Chicken”.
Service & professionalism at its finest.
I really felt like a valued guest at Caraway Grill East and look forward to many return visits.
Lunch feature from 20Ten City Eatery on 12th Ave. in downtown Regina SK #YQR.
20Ten had a sandwich board outside their door advertising the lunch feature:

Take-out! While waiting for the order to be prepared at 1:30pm, here’s a few photos of the bright, cheery interior of 20Ten City Eatery.
My order was ready relatively quickly; walked the half block home, looking forward to lunch.
Home in less than 5 minutes from 20Ten.
One sip of the soup; it was cold.
One bite of the sandwich; it was soggy on the bottom.
The chicken portion was very-thin and it didn’t really taste like chicken. It couldn’t even be chewed; it seemed grisly & fatty.
Lunch was over after only 2 sips of soup & 2 bites of the large sandwich.
20Ten City Eatery can prepare some very nice meals. nice meals.
But when it comes to the take-out lunch special, maybe try the sandwich in the restaurant before taking it home.
That way you can ask some questions about the ingredients & preparation methods while still in the restaurant.

There’s all sorts of appetizers, different signature soups and a nice selection of salads including the classic Caesar Salad.
Lancaster Smoked Salmon & Feta salad has Lancaster House-Smoked Salmon & House-Smoked Feta cheese with fresh greens and grape tomatoes in Lancaster‘s orange bourbon vinaigrette. Delicious!
Lancaster also has New York Style Street Pizza and, true to its name, The Lancaster has pub classics including Bangers and Mash, Schnitzel Strips and that mainstay of pub food – English fish and chips.
To satisfy the sweet tooth, Lancaster offers comfort desserts including apple-cherry strudel, New York cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding.
If you like cocktails, try The Lancaster Old Fashioned. It’s “orangey and boozy with a sweet finish featuring Knob Creek Bourbon and Lancaster house made boozy cherries” amazing!

Cacao 70 Is a spectacular new eatery located at 2070 Aurora Blvd. in Regina SK #YQR.
You would think by the name that the menu would be nothing but chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate! But they’ve actually got a wonderful selection of sandwiches, salads, brunch items & the most marvellous “Wow! Factor” waffles.
Cacao 70 Sweets menu is extensive and not just for Chocolate lovers.
They have wonderful crepes and a very interesting assortment of dessert waffles.
You can also choose from brownie bites and classic waffle bites as well as cakes, ice cream and sweet pizzas.
My choice was the “After-Party” waffle. This is a classic waffle topped with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, homemade berry sauce, milk chocolate chunks, chocolate covered cereal and a drizzle of white chocolate.
The presentation was extraordinary, with the dark chocolate drizzle painting the plate upon which the waffle itself rested.
The waffle was incredibly light, the whipped cream was delectable and the strawberries were juicy and succulent.
The white and dark chocolate brought it all together for a superb dessert experience.
To finish, you can choose from a variety of hot cups of cocoa, espresso or specialty coffee.
Cacao 70 has cool drinks, too! Milkshakes, smoothies & iced coffee’s.
There really is something for everyone at Cacao 70.
For the month of July 2021, Memories Dining & Bar – Regina SK Canada – is offering a spectacular menu at an amazing price of just $32.00 per person for a 3-course dinner:
starter, choice of appetizer, salad & entree. (4 courses with starter)
Starter:
Baked Rolls & Skordalia (Garlic) Spread.
They call it a garlic spread, but the aroma was intoxicating & the flavour – divine!
I’d have enjoyed this as a full meal.
The garlic-based Skordalia was perfectly balanced with the other ingredients which included Potato, Olive Oil & Oregano.
Garnished with a bright green sprig of parsley, it was a great way to start the evening, with either the spread or, alternatively, the herbed butter on the fresh, hot roll.
Appetizer:
Baked Feta: The wedge of Feta Cheese, coated with sesame seeds, was baked for 8 minutes at high temperature. This helped toast the sesame seeds while bringing the Feta to just the right temperature to turn it into squeaky-goodness as it’s enjoyed.
The honey drizzle perfectly complimented the savory cheese. As a matter of fact, I don’t ever recall tasting a honey that’s so delicate in flavour & consistency.
My host, George, explained Memories Dining imports this unique honey from Greece.
I’m looking forward to discovering more combinations from this liquid gold!
Salad:
Lentil Salad. An abundance of Lentils with honey-mustard dressing.
Mixed with the lentils were crunchy carrots, bits of grilled vegetables, bell pepper & zucchini.
This is a very light dish, yet incredibly satisfying.
Main Entrée:
Shrimp & Scallops Saganaki, presented in fresh tomato sauce, Greek feta & spice herbs on feta risotto.
Fabulous! Jumbo shrimp wrapped around delicate scallops, served piping hot in a tasting tomato sauce accented by feta & herbs.
The risotto was delicious – perfectly prepared rice balanced with just the right amount of Greek Feta.
Grilled vegetables finished the plate adding color, dimension and marvellous flavour.
